Lara Pigorsch is a multidisciplinary artist working across performance, installation, video and digital media. With a background in contemporary dance and media studies, her practice investigates the body as an interface within technologically mediated environments, focusing on intimacy, desire, surveillance and alienation under digital capitalism.
Drawing on choreographic thinking and computational aesthetics, Pigorsch explores how digital images, algorithmic systems and social norms shape bodies, identities and forms of connection. Her work often uses the body as both material and method, creating situations in which physical presence encounters virtual systems and social expectations become tangible.
Rather than simply representing digital culture, Pigorsch constructs experiential environments that make its psychological and corporeal effects perceptible. Her projects examine how bodies negotiate visibility, control and vulnerability within increasingly mediated realities.
